Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) for Oregon and Hawaii Residents
A doorway inward. A bridge to healing. A pause from the noise.
Discover a Different Kind of Therapy
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a powerful, evidence-based approach that blends the science of ketamine treatment with the depth of trauma-informed psychotherapy. This innovative therapy supports people navigating depression, anxiety, PTSD, and life transitions — especially when traditional talk therapy has fallen short.
Through carefully guided ketamine sessions and intentional integration work, KAP creates an opportunity to shift old patterns, process stuck emotions, and reconnect with your inner clarity and purpose.
What Is Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy?
KAP combines low-dose ketamine — a legal, fast-acting psychedelic medicine — with the safety and insight of skilled psychotherapy. Ketamine disrupts habitual patterns of thought and emotion, creating openings for emotional release, renewed perspective, and reconnection to self.
Used with intention and support, ketamine therapy becomes a space to heal not just symptoms — but your relationship to self, to others, and to what you carry.
Who is KAP for?
KAP may be helpful for those experiencing:
Depression or treatment-resistant depression
Anxiety and panic
SD and complex trauma
Burnout, chronic stress, or emotional fatigue
Grief, identity shifts, or spiritual disconnection
Feeling stuck, numb, or out of alignment
A desire for clarity, emotional release, or deeper inner work
You do not need a formal diagnosis to explore KAP. Many people arrive at this work when they’re tired of “holding it all together” and want to feel more alive, more connected, and more like themselves.
The KAP Process: What to Expect
-

1. Preparation (3 Sessions)
We begin with three 50-minute preparation sessions to build trust, explore your intentions, and prepare your nervous system. These sessions help set a foundation for safe and supported inner work.
-

2. Ketamine Session
Your medicine session lasts approximately 2–3 hours and takes place in a supportive, private setting. Ketamine is prescribed in sublingual lozenge form through a licensed medical provider and taken at home with therapeutic support, or in-person depending on your location. You’ll be guided with music, optional eye shades, grounding tools, and a calm, attuned presence.
-

3. Integration Therapy
After your session, we meet for at least one 50-minute integration session. This is where the medicine’s insights become real and lasting. Integration may include talk therapy, somatic tools, mindfulness, creativity, or inner parts work — tailored to your unique experience.
Why More Than One Session?
The Research on 6–8 Sessions for Long-Term Impact
While even one ketamine session can bring relief, research consistently shows that 6–8 sessions — when paired with psychotherapy — lead to more meaningful, longer-lasting results.
A 2021 study in The American Journal of Psychiatry found that patients receiving six ketamine treatments over 2–3 weeks showed significant reductions in depressive symptoms compared to control groups. [source] https://ajp.psychiatryonline.org/doi/10.1176/appi.ajp.2021.20081240
JAMA Psychiatry also highlights that multiple sessions, especially when combined with therapy, result in better outcomes than ketamine alone. [source] https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamapsychiatry/fullarticle/2781804
To support this, I recommend a foundational cycle of 3 prep sessions, 1 medicine session, and 2 integration sessions, with ongoing care tailored to your needs.
